HISTORY
Our patient Kiki is a 19-year-old good-looking boy from Croatia, who stayed with us for 24 days and received our stem cell therapy and Chinese medicine treatment,. He went back home on 24th May. He was very satisfied with his treatments at ReLife International Medical Center.

Medical Condition before Stem Cell Transplantation
Kiki suffered from weakness of the upper limbs 2 years ago after his left hand was injured in a football match in 2012. In March 2012, muscle atrophy on the upper body was presented, fingers was unable to extend on the left hand, claw-shaped hand was formed. Followed by muscular tension on lower extremities and spontaneous shaking. He was unable to walk independently and felt “immediate falling” when standing up. He was received treatment in local hospital. Till March 2013, left hand and fingers have improved, shoulder and back also improved. Balance capacity has increased, able to walk straight and climb multiple ladders. However, none obvious reason was shown for four syncopes from September 2012 to January 2013. Suspected to be the symptoms of motor neuron disease (MND). EEG, CSF, ECG tests have indicated none abnormalities other than orthopedic hypotension, may caused by vasovagal syncope (complex type). Since the medical condition occurred, he has suffered from reading obstacle, however none communication obstacle was indicated, including swallowing and breathing difficulties.
From the onset of disease, he had normal spirit, diet and sleep, and had normal bowel movement and urination, normal weight.

Admission Examination
Kiki was given examination of blood test, urine and stool routine test, liver function test, electrolytes, micronutrient test, hormone test, immune test, lymphocytes subset test, viral screening test, ECG and brain MRI. Body temperature: 36.5 celcius degree. Pulse: 77/ minute, Breath: 20/ minute. Blood pressure 126/62 mmHg. Height: 182 cm. Weight: 72 kg. BMI: 21.7. Normal body condition, conscious, clear speech but slow and poor continuity. Irregular morphology on forehead, face and neck. Red acnes have presented on front breast and back. Two surgery scars were noticed on the left knee measuring 5cm and 3cm. Muscular atrophy on both hands and both upper limbs, especially on thenar muscle, presented with claw-shaped hands, both hands were unable to extend. Mobility were limited on both shoulder and wrist. Normal mobility and morphology on elbow joint. Neck strength: level ⅴ-.Left upper limb and grip strength: level ⅳ. Right upper limb ⅳ+ with rather poor extension capacity. Both lower limbs ⅳ+, increasing extension capacity, more obvious on the right lower limb. Reflexion presented on both upper limb tendon, with degradation. Hypereflexia presented on knee and tendon. Left Babinski positive, hofmann reflection were negative. None abnormality indicated on the sensory of extremities.

Stem Cell Transplantation & TCM
After admission, several medical protocols were applied, including: Immune stem cell therapy (CIK, NK) and MSC (Mesenchymal Stem Cell) Therapy, combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine(acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese massage, Chinese herbal soup) and Supportive Treatment.

Medical Condition after Stem Cell Transplantation
After 24 days treatment at ReLife International Medical Inter, Kiki’s condition has improved. At present he is conscious and in good spirit. He does not easily get tired after the same amount of movement before therapy. Right now, he can walk stably by himself without a walker, He Presented clear speech. Irregular red acne on face, neck, chest, back parts have significantly reduced. The shoulder joint is more flexible than before. Both hands can spread relatively better. The strength of grip and upper extremity has increased. he can put his shoes on and take the glass and drink steadily, without a tremor.
