Medical Condition before Stem Cell Transplantation
Bozo is one of our patients who come from Croatia. Patient Checked up at local hospital in 2013, was diagnosed as “ALS”, suggested to take Riluzole, VitC, VitE oral medicine and physical therapy; the disease is in progress. Before he came to ReLife International Medical Center, his condition had become worse and worse. The muscle strength in his lower limbs has decreased seriously, felt more difficult to walk, only several steps with help. Both of his upper limbs and shoulder were painful and weakness. He had lost his gripping skills.
Patient is conscious, speech disorders, he will show dyspnea when the movement increases. Swallow is proper, good appetite, and good sleep, urine and stool normal, no big change of the weight.

Stem Cell Transplantation & TCM for Twenty-One Days
After admission, Stem Cell Therapy was given combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM such as acupuncture, cupping, massage and herbal medicine). Patient’s condition has improved, the course of treatment has completed at 28 Sep. 2014.

Medical Condition after Stem Cell Transplantation
After 21 days’ hospitalization, he was satisfied with his treatment. Through the blood test results comparison between admission and discharge, patient’s immune function improved, many test items are back to normal.
Physical Examination: general status, heart, lung and abdomen normal. Toes of left foot is red, no fluctuation , the scar is healing, near-end of upper limbs muscle strength is grade III, both distal upper limbs muscle strength is grade III, the grip strength is grade Ⅰ-II, the right side muscle strength is higher than left side . Both lower limb muscle strength is grade IV. Symptom of paronychia is relieved.

At present, his symptoms have improved significantly. His muscle strength has increased. His muscle strength in his limbs has increased, so he feels that he has gained more and more power. He can have a walk about 50 meters through the help of others. He also can speak more clearly than before. Bozo is very confident about our treatment and also himself. In spite of suffering from such serious disease, he always keeps an optimistic attitude. Every day we can see a big warm smile in his face. We are so touched by his positive spirits.
